Mark Stutz is an experienced designer and producer with accomplishments in a variety of  environmental design projects.

I am skilled at creating concept illustrations, scale drawings, models, and themed design artwork for projects such as themeparks, museums, special events, corporate visitor centers, and retail / hospitality.

Create presentations for concept development, schematic design, feasibility, and design documentation phases.With experience developing packages for estimation and bidding purposes and can capably lead and coordinate the evaluation, team building, and implementation of such projects thru fabrication and field installation. 

 

My Mission

To develop a design from the conceptual phases of sketching and illustration into the practices of architecture and scenic design. Ultimately leading the efforts to fabricate and install a project for the successful operation of a location based branded business. 


I have carried out this process successfully thru business ventures for such companies as Walt Disney Imagineering, Sega GameWorks, and Universal Studios.

Recent Positions and Projects                                                                                      

Wyatt Design Group 2015 – Develop concept art and showset drawings for a resort and themepark with multiple attractions.

Themetech China 2014-2015 – Train and manage a team of designers and artist for themepark and location based entertainment projects in Asia. Lead creative efforts for clients in the growing China entertainment industry. Themetech is a start-up doing fabrication and installation of props, special effects, and show action equipment for the Shanghai Disneyland project. I am actively pursuing new business with such clients in China as ChongJo Dinosaur Themepark, Happy Valley, and several local resort developers.

Riva 2014 – Consultant for Motion Gate Themepark Dubai project team. Concept design and interior show design and themeing of restaurant and retail facilities.

Rubicon Holdings 2013-2014 – Art Director and lead designer on several attractions for themepark project The Red Sea Astrarium; Aqaba Jordan.

Universal Studios 2013 - – Developed designs for the Haunted Mazes at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Thinkwell Group 2012 – Developed designs, illustrations, and details for Theme Park project in Shanghai, China.

Universal Studios 2012 – Developed designs for the Haunted Mazes at Universal Studios Hollywood. Design support for several facility remodels at Universal CityWalk; creating plans and models.

Paramount Licensing - Created pre-visualization for a resort destination based on the Motion Picture Studios. The project features popular licensed Hollywood movie titles, brands, and stories developed into rides and attractions for the company and realized in 3D computer animation.

Playground Media Group - Las Vegas Springs Preserve. Designed and implemented 12 interactive video games for a gallery at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve Museum, which teaches children about sustainable living in the desert.

Lexington Scenery - Developed theme park design attraction packages communicating complex show and ride FX for Ferrari World in Abu Dabi, United Arab Emirates.

Landor Corporation -Designed and implemented an interactive corporate visitor center for FedEx in Memphis, Ten., which promotes brand awareness while educating and entertaining visitors.

Gamers Reef LLC - Designed and implemented a family entertainment center at the Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Islands, Bahamas.
